NINA EDBOM-KEHLER

Coordinator

Nina Edbom-Kehler is the face behind our email communications. A devoted member of the AAFRC for an impressive 21 years, since the birth of her daughter, Nina brings a wealth of experience and a genuine passion for supporting preschoolers and their parents.  Her commitment to guiding families through the rewarding journey of parenting is evident. Nina treasures the AAFRC as a lively community where families can connect, learn, and enjoy each other's company.   Additionally, she appreciates the flexibility of her role, which allows her to balance administrative tasks while occasionally playing with children, engaging with parents and designing programs.

LISA HIEBERT-PENNER

Facilitator

Lisa Hiebert-Penner, the longest-serving facilitator at the AAFRC, besides Nina. She has been involved with AAFRC for 16 years; 8 years as a parent attending with her own kiddos (7 of those years as a board member) and 8 years as a facilitator. Over time, she has infused her unique flair into each program she leads.  What she values most about being part of the AAFRC family is observing the connections and lifelong friendships that blossom among families. Whether you are new to the community or a longtime resident, the opportunity to connect with others on a similar journey is truly priceless.

MELINDA DELORME

Facilitator

Melinda Delorme, our Rosenfeld Stay & Play facilitator and social media expert! Over the years, she has been actively involved in many of our programs. Once her children started school, she embraced the role of facilitator, which aligns perfectly with her family commitments. The position allows for summers and school days off, making it an ideal part-time job!  Melinda enjoys meeting new families and children, witnessing their transformation from shy participants to friends who eagerly sit on her lap and engage in play. With her unique perspective from both attending and now running Stay & Play, she truly recognizes the immense value this program brings to families and the communities we serve.

MELISSA KRAHN

Facilitator

Melissa Krahn, the only team member who uniquely balances the role of a parent with preschoolers at home. She is responsible for organizing the Gretna Stay & Play programs and manages our bi-weekly take-home kits. Melissa actively participates in programs and engages in the provided trainings, sharing her expertise whenever needed. Like her colleagues, she values the flexibility of working at AAFRC, which is crucial as she juggles her busy life with three children.
