What's more fun than sidewalk chalk? Sidewalk chalk paint!
One super simple way to make "chalk paint" is to colour vigorously with the sidewalk chalk (or grate it against a rock) to make a dust pile, add water and a brush, and your little Van Gogh can start painting!
Here's another recipe, if you don't have sidewalk chalk floating around. All you need is cornstarch, water, food colouring, a bowl to mix in, and some paint brushes.
Mix one cup of corn starch with one cup of water, stir well until there are no clumps. Pour the mixture into smaller bowls or a muffin tin if you want different colours, and then add a few drops of food colouring to each batch and mix it up. Voila! Ready to create masterpieces that will wash off in the next rainstorm.
